Dr Daniel Lock is a Lecturer at Griffith University in the Department of Tourism, Leisure, Hotel and Sport Management. Previously Daniel completed his PhD at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2009. His research interests focus on the social and psychological processes, which underpin consumer behaviour in relation to sporting teams. He has previously completed research projects with Sydney FC, Brisbane Roar, Football Federation Australia, The National Rugby League, The Australian Sports Commission and New South Wales Department of Sport and Recreation. Daniel’s core research outcomes provide information on how sport organisations are perceived in order to develop strategies to positively alter their image with the express intention of increasing consumption. Daniel’s research has featured in Sport Management Review, The Journal of Sport Management, European Sport Management Quarterly, Sport and Social Issues and a variety of industry-based magazines.
