Biography
Dr Benoit Leclerc is a criminologist in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University (Australia). From 2001 to 2005, he was involved in various large-scale research projects on juvenile and adult sexual offending completed with the assistance of the Correctional Service of Canada and offender treatment institutions in the province of Québec, Canada. For over 4 years, he was also responsible for completing criminological and phallometric assessments of adolescent and adult sexual offenders at the Institut Philippe-Pinel de Montréal. In 2007, he was awarded a Canadian postdoctoral fellowship to complete research in the area of crime scripts and situational prevention in child sexual abuse at the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University. His current research projects include the study of crime events, crime scripts, victim resistance and situational crime prevention in sexual offending.
