Biography
Dr Barbara Garrick is a lecturer in the School of Education and Professional Studies at Griffith University. Barbara is chief investigator on a faculty funded project that examines the use of Trade Training Centres in schools and is also an investigator on a number of smaller projects researching internationalisation and the knowledge economy.
Previously, Barbara worked in secondary schools in Queensland for 38 years and at the University of Queensland for four years. Barbara was a secondary teacher in Social Sciences, English and Maths. She has also received honours for her work as a convenor of several learning support groups in high schools in Queensland. Barbara was promoted to Deputy Principal, but did not take up her position.
