Dr. Anoop Patiar is Deputy Head of Department and from 2008 to 2010 he was the Program Director for Under Graduate Programs based at Nathan Campus, Brisbane. He gained his professional experience in various hotels at senior management level and educational experience in universities in the UK, Europe and Australia. Anoop was awarded MBA from QUT and PhD (Title: Managers’ Perception of Market Competition, Transformational Leadership, Use of MAS Information and Performance: A Cross-Cultural Study in Hotels) from Griffith University in 2005. His research interests remain in the areas of MAS information, transformational leadership; total quality management; job satisfaction; organisational commitment and sustainability in the tourism and hotel industry. He has widely published in the peer reviewed quality international tourism and hospitality journals and presented research papers at various national and international conferences. Anoop is on the editorial board of International Journal of Leisure and Tourism Marketing, he regularly reviews scholarly papers for various high quality journals and conferences and supervises PhD students. He has served as a chair of scientific committee of CAUTHE Conference in 2008 and is a member of Centre for Tourism, Sport and Service Innovation at Griffith University. Anoop is on the judging panel of Griffith Innovation Challenge.
