Planning Support forms part of the Office of Planning and Financial Services (PFS). For information on the Group Planning/Resource Manager and Financial Consultant network please view the PFS website.

The goal of the Office of Planning and Financial Services is to provide client focused strategic planning, financial and business management services required to facilitate the University's pursuit of excellence in teaching and research.

Planning unit

The Planning unit provides a central support service to link business intelligence with the University's goals to inform decision making. This team works in conjunction with the Group Planning/ Resource Manager and Financial Consultant network in supporting the academic community and administrative divisions.

We aim to provide the information which identifies new opportunities and work closely with academic groups to embed contemporary, sustainable action and planning. These plans allow the University to respond to an increasingly competitive and changing environment on a individualised, group and whole-of-organisation level.

Key services

  • Creation, publication and communication of validated Strategic Key Performance Indicators and Staircase reports
  • Management of the University Planning Cycle
  • Whole-of-organisation stakeholder consultation and support
  • Provision of data for University reviews and ad-hoc requests
  • Decision support analysis and business planning (for example, Program fee comparisons, ABC model).

Surveys unit

The Surveys team provides the survey coordination and management of the University student and other surveys. The Surveys team work closely with the Griffith Institute for Higher Education (GIHE)who is the University academic development unit.

Business Intelligence

Our Business Intelligence provides the University with a quick and easy way to integrate, analyse and present business information, and manage the infrastructure/systems to enable this information. Our systems provide historical, current and predictive data to inform business operations.
