GRIFFITH MEDICAL RESEARCH COLLEGE RESEARCH COLLABORATION SCHEME

The Griffith Medical Research College (GMRC) Research Collaboration Scheme was established to foster collaboration between credentialed staff of the QIMR and Griffith University. The aim of the scheme is to provide seed funding for a research project that will both develop the collaborative relationship between the QIMR and Griffith University researchers and improve the competitiveness of the project when seeking external research support funds.
Up to three (3) projects with a budget of up to $35,000 each will be funded in 2009. Up to one (1) of these grants may be awarded to an early-mid career research team (up to 10 years post PhD). The early-mid career research team may include more senior staff as Mentors.

Update on the Publication Incentive Scheme

Due to the external review of the publication lists, the Publication Incentive Scheme has been delayed and the process for payment of the incentive has been changed. Researchers are no longer required to submit an application for the incentive. Instead the Incentive Scheme payments will be made on all Tier 1 to 3 research papers and books published in 2006 as reported in the 2006 Publication Collection. OR expects to determine which publications are eligible for the Incentive following the completion of the 2006 publication survey in July 2007.
