The Griffith Research Plan

The Griffith University Strategic Plan 2003-2007 announced the goal of seeking to achieve a top-ten position in research across the Australian higher education sector. This goal was consistent with the central objective of the Griffith Project (2002) for the University as a whole.

The strategic directions paper outlining the Griffith Project specified this as a commitment to become ‘one of Australia’s top ten universities across the range of standard tertiary sector indicators by 2010’. These statements have given a clear sense of direction and purpose to the University’s activities over the last three years in the area of research.
