It is very important to understand exactly what courses you'll need to complete in your program. Programs can be structured quite differently. In some programs, all students may study the same courses throughout the entire degree. In others, you may only study the same courses as every one else during your first year. In second year you will choose preferred specialisations or majors. Right from the start it's useful to make a plan of the courses you will complete throughout the degree. That way, you'll be sure you have completed required courses (called prerequisites) in the order they are needed. You'll also be sure your plan meets what your program requires for you to graduate. If you have course credit from previous study, you can get advice from Student Administration about how this will affect your program plan.
