Get to know your support services
Once you're a Griffith student, you'll get the benefit of extra services designed to help you succeed in your studies. To make sure you get the most out of your University experience right from day one, get to know your support services. Whether you need help getting started, or assistance down the track, these services will be there for you.
Student Services is where you can get information and help related to careers, counselling, chaplaincy, welfare, equity, disabilities and health. These free services are designed to assist with your personal growth and development; they also facilitate access to/ progress in your studies and graduate career.
Learning Services offers you a range of free workshops, self-help resources and consultations aimed at developing your academic, computing and library research skills. Here you can get help with academic writing, time management, study strategies, finding information for an assignment and more.
InfoServices provides library and computing services on every campus. Be sure to take an online tour at the beginning of the semester. At the library InfoServices Desk you can get assistance with everything from computing problems to using library databases or student email.
Griffith International provides international students with advice and support on matters related to studying and living in Australia.
Campus Life is responsible for on-campus services related to sports, fitness, accommodation, child care, clubs, food and more. At the Gold Coast campus, these services are provided by the Student Guild.
Security Services can be accessed at any time on all campuses by using the specially marked telephones.
GUMURRII Student Support provides academic, personal and cultural support to assist Indigenous Australian students. It has offices on all campuses.
The Multi-Faith Centre is a venue where people from different religious and spiritual backgrounds can further their education in their own tradition and participate in multi-faith dialogue. It is located on the Nathan campus.
These are just a few of the many support services available to you. As you get to know the Griffith community, you'll undoubtedly be able to add to the list. Remember, "it's who you know".
