Research/Creative Expertise

  • Research interests in baroque performance practices including rhetoric and gesture;
  • Interpretation of the vocal works of Benjamin Britten;
  • Specialises in the performance of early music, particularly Bach Handel and Monteverdi, and in new music including works by Australian composers including Graeme Koehne, Brett Dean and Stephen Cronin.

Teaching and Other Experience

  • Tenor soloist performing regularly with all major national symphony orchestras and choral societies;
  • Guest artist with State Opera of Victoria, Canberra Opera, Opera Queensland, Sydney Festival, Adelaide Festival.
