Partnerships and collaboration
Queensland Conservatorium guides the music development of over 650 undergraduate and postgraduate students, and provides music studies to some 800 pre-tertiary students. In addition, we present many inspiring concerts and events annually and engage in a range of outreach projects across Queensland.
Queensland Conservatorium aims to provide the highest quality music events and education pathways to the widest audience. To fulfil this commitment and continue to be a vibrant player in Queensland's musical landscape, the Conservatorium has established mutually beneficial partnerships with corporate leaders and well as receiving support from many sponsors and donors. The Conservatorium can only continue to develop its high artistic standards and its range of musical activities with the generous support of music lovers and benefactors.

Ensembles in Residence
Queensland Conservatorium is proud to have Southern Cross Soloists, Griffith Trio and Clocked Out Duo as ensembles in residence, who all regularly perform at the Conservatorium as well as nationally and internationally.
Clocked Out Duo comprises Erik Griswold and Vanessa Tomlinson who have built an enchanting sound world over the past 10 years. Using resources as varied as percussion, prepared piano, kitchen implements, spare car parts, and a bewildering array of musical toys, their highly original music fuses many influences from experimental, jazz and world music sources. In their playful and adventurous work Clocked Out Duo create links between disparate styles and artistic communities.
Griffith Trio consists of three highly experienced chamber musicians, Michele Walsh (violin), Markus Stocker (cello) and Stephen Emmerson (piano). The Trio has performed widely around Australia, Asia and the Pacific since their formation in 1997. Since that time it has established an enviable reputation for its performances, radio broadcasts and recordings which have been consistently well received and acclaimed for their expression, vitality and unity of purpose.
Since its formation in 1995, the Southern Cross Soloists has established itself as one of the most innovative and exciting musical ensembles in Australia, developing an international reputation for ground-breaking performance. The members of the Southern Cross Soloists are Paul Dean (clarinet), Tania Frazer (oboe), Leesa Dean (bassoon), Peter Luff (horn), Kevin Power (piano) and Margaret Schindler (soprano).
