Heartbreak. Greed. Deceit. Wit.

From the composer of masterpieces La Boheme and Tosca comes a double bill depicting divergent paths to heaven and hell.

The heart-wrenching tale of motherhood denied and lost in Suor Angelica will move you to tears while the uproarious farce about a greedy family conniving to inherit a dying relative’s fortune in Gianni Schicchi will have you in stitches.

Perfect for both the opera devotee and the novice, this captivating double bill is fully staged and features one of opera's most famous arias, "O mio babbino caro".

The production is sung in Italian with projected English translations and is supported by Queensland Conservatorium Orchestra conducted by Michael Morgan, directed by stagecraft master Anna Sweeny and designed by Christopher Smith.

Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi open at the Conservatorium Theatre, South Bank this September for four performances only.
