The Conservatorium is committed to nurturing and developing musical talent and preparing students to take their place in the industry as recording artists, performers, composers, entrepreneurs and teachers - or in a range of other occupations connected with music.

Graduates have found employment in all areas of the industry:

  • professional music bodies,
  • live commercial performance,
  • recording studios (disc, film, radio, television and postproduction),
  • arranging,
  • composition and
  • teaching.

Many graduates have gone on to establish successful performance careers and their own businesses, such as recording studios, teaching studios, music distribution, and artist and repertoire companies.

You can go on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Education - Primary or Secondary and become a music teacher, and the bachelor program is also the first step if you’re wanting to develop a career in music research or higher education.
