Secondary Music Craft is specifically designed to prepare secondary students to confidently approach theoretical aspects of their music education. The workshop will equip students with an improved understanding of the rudiments of music - pitch, rhythm, pulse, tempo, amplitude, articulation, expression and timbre, as well as basic diatonic harmony. Through the completion of workbook activities in which theoretical and aural skills are closely integrated, participants will experience a fresh new approach to essential music writing techniques. This workshop will further develop the participant’s ability to effectively participate in and respond to music - through theory and performance.
