If you want a career as a professional jazz musician, Queensland Conservatorium's jazz program provides you with the opportunity to learn under acclaimed jazz musicians in some of the best performance spaces in the southern hemisphere.
Our jazz program encourages students to be creative with their music. Your training will combine performance with rigorous musicianship training to build a lasting foundation for your career in music.
As a Queensland Conservatorium jazz student, you will perform regularly at local venues, events, and festivals, and gain experience with solo gigs and big bands. Public performances include:
- Jazz Café in South Bank Parklands
- Performances in Queen Street Mall
- The Valley Jazz Festival
- The Green Jam Sessions at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
