Machine Intelligence and Pattern Analysis Laboratory

Mi-Pal laboratory at Logan Campus with a functional robo-cup playing and testing environment

The Machine Intelligence and Pattern Analysis Laboratory (Mi-Pal) is based at Griffith University's Logan Campus and is a part of the Institute for Integrated and Intelligent Systems.

Mi-Pal's researchers use robotic dogs to implement their research. The robotic dogs compete in the Aibo League four-legged race and the annual Robocup competition.

Mi-Pal is involved in research in the following areas:

  • Computer vision
  • Image processing
  • Multi-agent system theory
  • Human-computer interaction
  • Robotics
  • Algorithmic engineering
  • Reasoning
  • Localisation
