Library Orientation Events

EarlyBird workshops

Uni is different! A little preparation before you start repays itself many times over and makes your experience easier. Prior to Semester 1, 2012, Griffith University is offering the following Earlybird Workshops FREE of charge to its students.

Be pro-active. Get off to a smart start by participating in one or more of these sessions. Download the EarlyBird flyer for more information.

  • Strategies for study at university (2 hrs)
  • Getting started on your assignment (2hrs)
  • Get ready to research (1.5hrs)
  • Reading and note taking (2hrs)
  • Basic computer survival skills (3hrs)*
  • Introduction to Griffith's online environment (3hrs)*

Market Days

Library and IT staff will be hosting a table at each of the campus market days. Pop over to say hi and learn about the library and our IT systems.

Library Orientation (tours)

During Orientation week (20-24 Feb) you can take a library tour in any of our campus libraries.  Tours are also available during week 1 (27 Feb-2 Mar) at Nathan and Gold Coast campuses.  Tours will run every 15 mins during the times below.

Please wait at the Library Tour Meeting Point in the foyer of your Library. There is a maximum of 15 students on each tour. No bookings available.


Postgraduate Library and Learning Day (March 3)

Postgraduate Library & Learning Day is a starting point on which to build the skills needed to conduct research at the postgraduate level.
