Learning advisers on each campus can advise you on issues related to academic writing, exam preparation, time management and other academic skills. We can help you to improve the structure of written assignments, organise ideas, develop arguments and understand the expectations of university study.

Please note that learning advisers do not proof-read, edit or check students work. We cannot advise on what content, ideas or arguments to include. Our focus is on helping you develop strategies to independently revise your own work and manage your study.

Academic skills consultations

Book-it

Individual and small group consultation sessions with a learning adviser are offered throughout the semester including breaks. Bring along your course outline, assignment topic, and course materials to work on any aspect of your study. Appointments are necessary.

Due to demand for this service, there is a limit of one consultation appointment per student per week. Appointments are usually 20 minutes in length.
