The Image collections database contains high-resolution images from Griffith University and other institutions, including Queensland College of Art collections:
- Art;
- Visual culture; and
- Architecture (slide or digital).
Images are suitable for:
- Very detailed study;
- 3D virtual reality use; and
- Tertiary level art commentary and analysis.
Access
Image collections are accessed via Luna Imaging Insight. Choose between two access methods.
Browser
- Luna component access allows dynamic front end to Insight collections. It includes Griffith and Luna Commons collections with simple keyword searches, categories listing and faster access.
- Griffith's image features visual arts collections (includes large range of architecture and historical photography).
- Luna Commons collections features an exciting range of image collections from various subjects and institutions all over the world.
- Browser access allows quick access on the web, with a limited range of functionality. It is recommended for searching and browsing. Be sure to disable your pop-up blocker before viewing the Images collections.
Client
Compared to browser access, the client allows:
- Higher resolution printing
- Enhanced zooming and panning
- Saving and sharing features.
