What can you borrow and for how long

Griffith students and staff

You may have 40 items on loan at any one time. These can be a combination of a variety of loan types. You may have up to 12 concurrent holds.

*Overnight loans of open reserve items are available 2 hours before closing and are due to be returned within 30 minutes of opening the next day. This loan option is not available during study or exam weeks.

Research loans

Ask for a research loan at the desk when you intially borrow an item. The Express Loan Units cannot issue research loans.

All other members

You may have 20 items on loan at any one time. You are not entitled to place holds.

Short, reserve and other loan type items are not available for borrowing by community members.


Recalls

If an item you have on loan is placed on hold by another borrower, you will receive a recall notice asking you to return the item. You are guaranteed a minimum loan of 14 days (or 7 days if recalled for the reserve collection).
