Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic)
The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof John Dewar is responsible for all aspects of learning and teaching, the student experience, academic staffing and quality assurance.
Pro Vice Chancellor (Learning and Student Outcomes)
The Pro Vice Chancellor (Learning and Student Outcomes), Prof Sue Spence provides strategic leadership in the implementaiton of strategies related to learning and teaching, student experience and outcomes, and student equity.
Deans, Academic
The Dean (Academic)'s main roles are to:
- be standing deputy for the Group Pro Vice Chancellor;
- develop and implement Group staffing strategies and practices to enhance the capability of the Group to achieve targets relating to learning, research and engagement;
- chair Faculty Board and Staff Committee; and
- supervise Heads of School/Department in the Group.

Heads of School/Department
The main role of Head of Schools/Department is to lead the academic and administrative performance of the school/department and its external engagement, with responsibility for achieving the targets set for the school/department in the context of the plans and priorities of the University and relevant academic group.

Academic Registrar
Responsible for providing strategic advice and policy on a wide variety of academic-related matters inclusive of strategic information, analysis, and development of policy options. Other responsibilities include leading and directing the Office to ensure the effective administration of the academic functions of the University by providing support for academic decision-making, the efficient administration of student-related matters and the provision of support services to students.
Director, Griffith Institute for Higher Education
The Director Griffith Institute for Higher Education, Prof Kerri-Lee Krause is responsible for leading and managing the staff and resources of Griffith Institute for Higher Education in support of the University’s strategic priorities, and for providing high level straegic advice on learning and teaching matters
Director, Quality, Planning and Statistics
Responsible for:
- Develop the University's information systems to ensure they meet management needs
- Manage statistical and institutional performance reporting to external stakeholders
- Support the University's Executive Group in strategic, operational and other planning and evaluation
- Manage the University's survey activities and the use and distribution of survey information
- Oversee the University's ongoing quality assurance and improvement processes
