Australian Learning and Teaching Council (formerly the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education)

The mission of the Australian Learning and Teaching Council is to promote and advance learning and teaching in Australian higher education. The Council recognises, rewards and supports outstanding teaching and practice through a suite of award, fellowship and grant programs. Griffith University encourages and supports staff to apply for Australian Learning and Teaching Council programs.

Department Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (formerly Department of Education, Science and Training)

The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations currently supports learning and teaching in universities through two main programs:

  1. the Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and
  2. the learning and teaching performance fund.

The Department has a learning and teaching program specifically for Indigenous education.
