Dear Colleagues,

I would like to extend a personal invitation to all Griffith staff to participate in the University's 2011 Celebrating Excellence in Teaching Week program. This will be held in study week from the 31st October to 4th of November 2011

Sue-Spence-resized

Celebrating Excellence in Teaching Week provides a wonderful opportunity to hear from national and international experts and from our own colleagues about highly effective approaches to current challenges and priorities in learning and teaching in higher education.

It is also the week when we celebrate the fantastic achievements of Griffith’s award winning teachers at our Celebrating Teaching Gala Nights.

In addition to the Gala Nights we are delighted to present:

  • Symposia and showcases on key learning and teaching priorities at Griffith including: Blended Learning; Good Practices in Assessment; Global Citizenship; Work Integrated Learning; Career Development Learning and Service Learning.
  • A Program Leaders Forum.;
  • A Celebrating Teaching seminar on establishing and sustaining communities of practice.

You will find full details about each of these events at the following link:

  • 2011 Celebrating Teaching Excellence Week Program

I will be attending as many of these events as I can, and hope to see you there. I extend a special invitation to you to join us at the Gala Nights to celebrate with our award winning colleagues.

Best regards,

Sue Spence
