The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) Commendations value student feedback in recognising excellent teachers.
Based on Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) data and sorted by class size, the scheme recognises teachers who are in the top 20% for two courses in a single semester, or two courses in a calendar year. Evaluations must have at least a 30% response rate and more than seven students in a class.
Commendations are awarded at the end of the calendar year.
