The Griffith Blended Learning Fellowships will not be offered from 2009.
The Griffith Blended Learning Fellowship program (formerly the Griffith E-learning Fellowships) had been established to:
- support the University's strategic objectives in learning and teaching through use of educational technologies;
- support innovation in learning and teaching; and to
- disseminate such innovations through professional development
The Griffith Blended Learning Fellowships had been available annually. In any year a maximum of four fellowships were granted. The value of any one fellowship could not exceed $60,000. Normally the Fellowship was awarded to an individual teacher, however Fellowships were also be awarded to teaching teams. Griffith Blended Learning Fellows could choose to teach a reduced workload or not to teach during the semester in which they held the fellowship and it was expected the Fellow's service commitments was also be kept to a minimum. The fellowships were to cover funds for the School/Department to provide teaching relief for the fellowship holder, as well as for hardware, software, project support staff, conference travel, and for the Griffith Blended Learning Fellow's presentation at the Griffith Blended Learning Showcase.
