Unless you are a native English speaker you must provide evidence of your English language proficiency as follows:
Undergraduate (1000-5000 level courses)
- minimum overall band score of 6.0 in IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score less than 5.5
- minimum score of 213 on computer based TOEFL
- minimum score of 79 on iBT with no score below 19
- German students may submit a DAAD language test with no score lower than a (b)
- Swedish students may submit high school English results with a score of VG or above
- Norwegian students may submit high school English results with a score of 4 or above
- Finnish students may submit high school English results with a score of 8 or above
- Danish students may submit high school English results with a score of 7 in English A or 10 in English B (from test results after August 1st 2007).
Please note - Undergraduate courses in the following disciplines require higher English levels:
- Criminology and Criminal Justice
- Education
- Law
- Nursing and Pharmacy
- Nutrition and Dietetics
Note: If you are undertaking the GELI Direct Entry program you must ensure you are in the appropriate level DEP class.
Postgraduate (7000 level courses)
- minimum overall band score of 6.5 in IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score less than 6.0
- minimum score of 237 on computer based TOEFL
- minimum score of 88 on iBT with no score below 21
- German students may submit a DAAD language test with a minimum of 2 (a)s and 2 (b)s
- Swedish students may submit high school English results with a score of VG or above
- Norwegian students may submit high school English results with a score of 4 or above
- Finnish students may submit high school English results with a score of 8 or above
- Danish students may submit high school English results with a score of 7 in English A or 10 in English B (from test results after August 1st 2007).
