Application process

The process begins by completing and submitting the Study Abroad Application Form (PDF 89k) along with your supporting documentation.

Before submitting your application please ensure you have:

  • Submitted or requested an original or certified true copy of your most recent academic transcripts and provided these as certified translations if your transcripts are not in English
  • Provided evidence of English proficiency if English is not your native language. View the English Language Requirements
  • Submitted a copy of the details page of your passport
  • Listed at least six courses in order of preference for each semester you will study at Griffith. Ensure you have completed any prerequisites and selected courses available at your chosen campus (refer to Studies page)
  • Submitted a portfolio if you are applying for Queensland College of Art or Queensland Conservatorium courses. Please see entry requirements for portfolio requirements
  • Sign the application form

Application deadlines

Applications for the Study Abroad Program should reach Griffith University by:

Semester 1 (February-June)
31 of January
Semester 2 (July-November)
30 of June

Applications lodged after these dates may still be considered.

What happens after I apply?

The Study Abroad Office will assess your completed application based on the entry requirements. Successful applicants will receive an official letter of offer including the refund policy and a Course Approval Report which lists the courses you are approved to study.
