Understanding the university system
In Australian universities, students are encouraged not only to learn, but also to think critically about issues being considered. There is often lively debate in lectures and tutorials as teachers and students analyse and discuss their ideas. As you become more confident, you will learn to join the discussions and share your ideas and experiences with others. You will learn from each other and develop important social and interpersonal skills.
