Step 2 - Check Your Entry Requirements

English requirements

  • You will need to meet a standard of English language proficiency for admission. Details of these requirements are listed in the Admission Requirements section for your degree program on the Programs and Courses website. As an example see Apply for Entry - Bachelor of International Business (1107)
  • We would encourage applicants who do not meet the English entry requirements for their chosen program to consider an English pathway program at our Griffith English Language Institute (GELI)

Academic and other requirements

For admission to Griffith's Undergraduate (Bachelors) programs you will usually require:

  • Successful completion of a secondary school qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12. For details on your country equivalent to Australian Year 12, refer to our table of Undergraduate Entry Requirements by Country. Some degree programs may require higher results than the minimum specified in this table.  If your qualification is not listed here it will be assessed individually.
  • Prior senior secondary study in a specific subject area, e.g. Maths, Chemistry, Physics may also be needed for some degrees.
  • Portfolio, Audition or Interview - these options may be required for admission to some degree programs, so you will find these additional requirements on the Programs and Courses website.
  • English Language Enhancement Course - some students will need to complete an ELEC as part of their program. Please refer to the English Language Enhancement Course website for further information and details about who has to complete this as a degree requirement.
  • We would encourage applicants who do not meet the academic entry requirements for their chosen program to consider the range of academic pathway programs on offer at the Queensland Institute of Business and Technology (QIBT)

For admission to Griffith's Postgraduate Coursework (Masters & Graduate Certificate) programs you will usually require:

  • Successful completion of a bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent qualification.
  • Some programs may require a degree in a specific discipline. Refer to detailed entry requirements for your degree at Programs and Courses

Research Higher Degree programs
