To demonstrate its commitment to facilitating students? English language skills development, Griffith University has mandated, via the Bachelors Degree Policy, the inclusion of an English Language Enhancement Course to specific bachelors-level programs.
Consequently, from 2010, all bachelors degree programs that:
- are delivered on-shore;
- admit international students for whom English is not their first language via standard University English Language Entry requirements;
- admit international students into the first or second year of the program;
have been restructured to include an ELE Course as part of degree requirements.
Access here the list of bachelors-level programs that include the English Language Enhancement Course as a degree requirement; those that are exempt from including an English Language Enhancement Course; and those programs that do not admit students required to complete an English Language Enhancement Course.
Each program structure will specify which one of the following five English Language Enhancement course students are required to complete as part of their degree:
- 5901LAL - Language and Communication for Business and Commerce
- 5902LAL - English Language and Communication for Health
- 5903LAL - Language and Communication for Science, Environment, Engineering and Technology
- 5904LAL - Language and Communication for Arts and Social Sciences
