The AusAID scholarships provide opportunities for individuals to undertake higher eduction and training in Australia so as to improve growth and development in their own regions. There are two scholarships managed by AusAID and available to International Students at Griffith.

  • The Australian Development Scholarship aims to strengthen human resources, sustain development and improve stability in Asia-Pacific region. Visit the AusAID website for an up to date list of the countries currently eligible for the ADS - www.ausaid.gov.au/scholar/eligiblecountries
  • The Australian Leadership Award aims to develop leadership, build partnerships and address priority issues in the Asia-Pacific region.

There are other scholarships available that are managed by either AusAID or the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

  • The Australian Regional Development Scholarship provides opportunities for people from some developing countries to study at selected education institutions outside Australia.
  • The Endeavour program is managed by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and focuses on strengthening education links, skills and knowledge throughout the Asia-Pacific region and showcase Australia's excellence in education, science and training.
  • Australia Africa Fellowships (AAF) are a component of the Australian Scholarships for Africa program. Australia Africa Fellowships are for short term study, research and professional attachment programs in Australia delivered by Australian organisations.
