EP&S provides consultation, facilities and equipment for all aspects of audio and video production. The main focus is the generation of quality audio and video media to be used as source material primarily for interactive multimedia, and secondly for stand alone educational products such as videos and audio tapes, DVDs and CD-ROMs, to be used for teaching and training purposes.
The range of services offered by the Audio-Video section includes scripting, composing, filming, sound recording, video-graphics production, audio and video editing and audio mastering.
The section uses only the broadcast format of Betacam for production. To maintain the quality of production standards the Audio-Video section will only edit material which has been filmed either by the Section itself or by a professional camera crew. We will not edit material filmed on Hi-8, Video-8, S-VHS or VHS formats.
Most aspects of this service are fee-based and can be accessed by contacting the A/V section within the Shared Resources Team.
