Checking Borrower Record and Renewing Items

Checking Your Borrower Record using the Library Catalogue

  1. To check your borrower record, from the menu on the left of the screen select Borrower Functions button

  2. Enter the 10 characters printed immediately above the barcode on your student/staff id card. For example: C7123456XD.

  3. Type in the first four (4) letters of your surname.

  4. Click on View Borrower Record button

    Your borrower record will be displayed.

  5. Click on each of the relevant buttons to access the individual lists.

Checking Your Borrower Record using OPACs (Telnet version of the catalogue)

  1. Select Borrower Information from the Main Menu of the catalogue. Press Enter.

  2. Enter the 10 characters printed immediately above the barcode on your student/staff id card. For example: C7123456XD. Make sure the C and D are in capitals.

  3. Select the appropriate option, e.g. Item List.

  4. The information on the screen is confidential. Clear the screen by typing G and pressing Enter until you reach the Main Menu.

Renewing Items using the Library Catalogue

Please note:
You are unable to renew overdue items using this method. If your items are overdue please ring/see Lending Services staff at any campus.

  1. To renew items, access your borrower record (see above for details).

  2. From the menu on the left of screen select Item List button

  3. Your list of items on loan will be displayed.

  4. Click on Renew Items

  5. If you want to renew all your items, select Renew All Items button

    OR

    If you want to renew only some items then:

    i. Select the items you want to renew by checking the box beside the item, e.g. Tick

    ii. Select Renew Selected Items button

  6. The renewal response will display the due date and renewal status.
