The small seeds of figs are effectively spread over wide areas of Australia's tropics through many wide-ranging bird species.
Semi deciduous mesophyll vine forest.

Addition by David Wassell (October 2005): "These four Rainbow Lorikeets were pets. They were caged during the night, but were allowed to fly free during the day. In Image 7-1, the bird is feeding on the wild fig tree growing beside the generator shed behind the Coen Hotel".
