Len Webb Ecological Images Collection
Illustrates fire pattern at edge of rainforest (notophyll vine forest), where this vegetation is charred and killed for only a few metres once wildfire penetrates the bouldery (granite) boundary. Hence the ecological function of bouldery outcrops as "fire shadows" in burnt savanna/grassy woodland.
