Cyclone-damaged and broken-canopied lowland rainforest on exposed spurs and ridges, also subject to fire intrusions on lower slopes. On lower fertility soils from schists and acid granites, Acacia spp. (with pale crowns) regenerate in gaps and become dominant in the canopy.
