Lowland foothills and mountains with mixed lithology and soil parent materials, ranging from deep to skeletal soils, supporting a wide range of vegetation from rainforest with dense closed canopy to open sclerophyll forest and low sclerophyll scrub/heath.
This aerial view indicates little or no signs of damage by recent cyclone to sclerophyll vegetation with open canopies, in contrast to some "cyclone scrubs" on exposed spurs of foothills.
