Information Services is committed to the achievement of the University’s vision, mission and strategic priorities. This commitment is evidenced through effective, efficient responsive services, tailored to meet University priorities and through application of our specialist knowledge and expertise to improve the University’s outcomes.
This commitment is articulated in our current Strategic Plan.
In particular, the Plan seeks to focus our activities:
- on the two core areas of Research and Learning & Teaching with the supporting areas of staffing, resources and infrastructure aligned behind those core areas of business
- on explicitly targeting our role in enhancing the student experience through the services we provide.
The priorities we identify in our Strategic Plan flow through to our annual Operational Plan and these priorities subsequently cascade down the organisation to the individual staff member’s annual performance plan.
We are also responsible for managing the University’s Electronic Infrastructure Capital Plan and the Electronic Infrastructure Recurrent Plan.
The EICP determines how the University will spend funds on developing its electronic infrastructure and is governed by four Portfolio Boards:
- Supporting Learning and Teaching – Chair, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic)
- Supporting Research – Chair, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research)
- Supporting University Business – Chair, Pro Vice Chancellor (Administration)
- Underlying Infrastructure – Chair, Director, Information Services (ICTS)
