Student opportunities

Past Industrial Affiliates Program students at the end of semester Expo, studying Engineering, Information Technology, Multimedia, Science and Environmental Science

The Industrial Affiliates program now caters for students studying Engineering, Information Technology, Multimedia, Science and Environmental Science

The Industrial Affiliates Program offers final year students in Engineering, Information, Communication and Technology, Multimedia, Science, Environmental Science and Planning the opportunity of working with an Industry Partner on their premises, to deliver a project of real commercial value.

The best insight into your career with all the support you need. - Justin Kirkman, Environmental Engineering student

The program is designed to bridge the gap between being a student and entering the workplace and to set you up for a great career as a professional. Students are usually not paid, and the outcomes you produce for industry are assessed as part of your University program.

During the Industrial Affiliates Program you are not "doing work experience" - you are focused on a substantial project that allows you to contribute and learn within the industry partner's organisation as would any employee.

The program is managed and supervised by Griffith University, and is highly structured to ensure you meet milestones and deliver the outcome required by the industry partner and to ensure your academic success. The Industrial Affiliates Program structure ensures that you develop 'work-ready skills', and enhance your understanding of the industry context during the experience.
