Industrial Affiliates Program

Industrial Affiliates Program student gaining industry experience in laboratory

The Industrial Affiliates program allows students to obtain valuable experience working in their chosen industry.

The Industrial Affiliates Program is a Work-Integrated Learning program that has been designed to integrate students into the workplace through the completion of an industry based project. It is designed to benefit both the student as well as the industry partner.

This is an opportunity for industry partners to have a willing and dedicated individual working on industry projects using a fresh and innovative approach, and also to bridge the gap for students entering the workplace.

The Industrial Affiliates Program has operated since 1993, with over 1000 industry placements in over 200 different industry organisations.

Students in their final year of study in Environmental Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Microelectronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Science, Environmental Science, Science, Information Technology and Multimedia degree programs are eligible to enrol in the Industrial Affiliates Program. In 2009 final year students undertaking the Bachelor of Photonics and Nanoscience may be able to select the Industrial Affiliates Program as an elective.
