Under Age Students Studying at Griffith University
Underage students studying at Griffith University must stay in Homestay Accommodation.
- They are not allowed to move on campus, nor are they allowed to move from their arranged Homestay accommodation without the University's knowledge or permission.
- After the Underage student has been issued with a Visa, and has enrolled to study at Griffith University, the student must arrange Homestay accommodation or live with an approved Guardian
- After the student has been found appropriate Homestay accommodation, the International Office is advised of the Homestay family's name, address, contact details and suitability card numbers, who then advise the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) and the student can then apply for their visa.
- Alternatively the student and their family may wish to sign with a guardianship company located in BrisbaneThe guardianship company is paid to liaise with the University or Homestay family on behalf of the student. However, any major issues involving the student remain the responsibility of the University
