Higher Degree Research Supervision Workshop Series

The Griffith Institute of Higher Education, in collaboration with the Griffith Graduate Research School, offers a series of workshops for the supervisors of HDR students which include the following:

  • Responsibilities of Being a Higher Degree Research Supervisor (compulsory workshop for transitional supervisors)
  • Using Blended Learning Approaches to Connect Higher Degree Research Students
  • Cross-Cultural Issues
  • Intellectual Property for Higher Degree Research Supervisors
  • Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
  • Publishing and Authorship - Negotiations During the Higher Degree
  • Managing Research
  • Copyright and Research (GIHE)
  • Copyright and Teaching (GIHE)
  • Human Research Ethics and the Responsibilities of Supervisors (GIHE)
Supervisors with a transitional accreditation status are required to complete a minimum of three workshops from the above series - the Responsibilities of Being a Higher Degree Research Supervisor is a compulsory workshop.
