Research expertise
- Tracy's thesis investigated the measurement of explanatory style in children.
- This project found that the explanations children have for familiar and unfamiliar events differ, which has implications not only for the measurement of explanatory style but for the association between explanatory style and depressive symptoms in children.
- Involved in research which has investigated the efficacy of the P5 Parenting Program. This program was found to be an effective approach for the treatment of child behavioural problems.
- Tracy has also been involved with collaborative research which has developed and evaluated a psychosocial support program for parents and children with chronic medical conditions.
Current teaching areas
- Dr Ludlow is the Director of the Psychology Clinic on the Gold Coast Campus. She also is the External Placement Coordinator for postgraduate clinical students on the Gold Coast Campus
- Assists students as they complete their clinical post graduate training and liaises with the Psychologist's Board of Queensland for students as the Course Supervisor
- Teaches in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs on the Gold Coast Campus
- Involved with courses associated with Practicum Training and the postgraduate level for Clinical Masters, Doctor of Psychology and Clinical PhD students
- Additionally, Tracy teaches counselling psychology at an undergraduate level
- Provides clinical supervision for students completing requirements for registration with Psychologist's Board of Queensland.
- Provides some research supervision for students who are completing honours projects
