Exercise science

The Bachelor of Exercise Science degree provides students with the knowledge and skills to be employed as exercise professionals upon graduation. You receive up-to-date and relevant theory on a variety of exercise and health related topics. Small laboratory classes ensure that you obtain valuable 'hands-on' experience before entering the workforce. You can also choose to combine your exercise science degree with one of the following options to further expand your career choices.

  • Bachelor of Exercise Science/Bachelor of Business (Sport Management)
  • Bachelor of Exercise Science/Bachelor of Psychological Science
  • Graduate Diploma of Education - Secondary

Physiotherapy

Students choosing to study physiotherapy can look forward to learning the latest treatments and tools from practising physiotherapists. During the degree you will also have the chance to gain valuable experience working with physiotherapists in fields such as stroke rehabilitation or cardiovascular therapy. There is also the opportunity to undertake your clinical experience overseas.

We offer two distinct 'pathways' to the Master of Physiotherapy (due to commence in 2012). The Bachelor of Exercise Science (Pre Physiotherapy) 'guaranteed entry' (subject to GPA) or the Bachelor of Exercise Science with prescribed courses (equal to 1344 Bachelor of Exercise Science (Pre Physiotherapy)) and admission requirements into the Master of Physiotherapy.
