Biography

Ursula has 25 years’ experience in aged care practice, higher education and research in Australia and the United Kingdom. She has a funded research and publication track record in the areas of families' caring for older relatives in community and long-term care settings; biographical approaches to aged/ dementia care; and staff-family participatory approaches to aged/ dementia care. Ursula is an experienced research supervisor and examiner having successfully supervised Higher Degree Research students and Masters students to completion over the past 15 years. Ursula is a respected reviewer for a number of international journals in the fields of nursing, gerontology and qualitative research. She also reviews for a range of national research organisations in the fields of gerontology and aged care nursing. Ursula has held numerous executive and advisory roles on professional committees and government taskforces as a gerontology and aged care nursing specialist.
