Biographical information

Dr Ramon Shaban is Postgraduate Programs Convenor within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Senior Research Fellow (Infection Control and Infectious Diseases) within the Griffith Health Institute at Griffith University and Adjunct Senior Research Fellow  with the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He has particular interests and expertise in infection control and prevention in emergency and primary health care settings. Ramon is a Credentialed Infection Control Practitioner (CICP), and has more than 70 scholarly publications. He has attracted over $650,000 in competitive and strategic research funding. Ramon is a Clinical Research Leader with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) National Institute of Clinical Studies in Australia, and is Editor-in-Chief of the Australasian Emergency Nursing Journal.
