Bachelor of Midwifery
The Bachelor of Midwifery is a new, innovative, 3 year program that can be undertaken full-time or part-time. The program will prepare you to become a midwife in Australia and internationally. You will gain hand-on experience in on-campus clinical laboratories and within hospitals and other off-campus clinical settings. Please note, the intensive study block runs outside normal semester dates and usually commences in February and July.
International programs
The School of Nursing and Midwifery at Griffith University has close academic associations internationally, including a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Taipei College of Nursing involving collaborative research, scholarships, and opportunities for staff and student exchanges. A Bachelor of Nursing is offered in Singapore and until recently a Masters of Nursing in Japan.
Masters degrees offered via distance mode at Griffith University, Queensland; include Critical Care Nursing, Emergency Nursing, Gerontology, Infection Prevention and Control, and Sexual Health. Our Master degrees are one year full-time or two years part-time with a research Honours (40CP) option.
Griffith Nursing's distance programs are valued by students for their quality educational materials, and academic staff who show genuine interest in assisting international students. Staff are experienced teachers, clinicians, and researchers and are readily accessible by email, fax and telephone for consultation and assistance. Some assessments are related to student's clinical practice.
