Recent Staff Achievements
- Professor Amanda Henderson has been appointed as an Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) Discipline Scholar in the Health discipline. This is a very prestigious and competitive national award.
- A/Professor Jenny Gamble has been elected to President of the Australian College of Midwives.
- Dr Brigid Gillespie has been elected to President of Perioperative Nurses Association of Qld.
- Prof Wendy Moyle has been appointed as the Regional Editor (Australiasia) for the International Journal of Older People Nursing.
Seminars and Symposia
Seminars and research symposia are held from time to time at all three campuses as well as the Gold Coast Hospital.
These provide opportunities for staff and postgraduate students to share ideas and approaches to research nursing and health with each other and clinicians.
Conferences
Conferences form an important part of fruitful academic exchange and the School of Nursing and Midwifery plans to host conferences in the future.
