Biography

Dr Keijzers completed his biomedical health sciences study with a Masters in Clinical Epidemiology in 1996 in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He also completed his MBBS there in 2000. Gerben came to Australia in 2002 and has worked mainly in the Gold Coast Hospital, with stints at Tweed Hospital and Careflight. He became a staff specialist in 2008, and has been supervising small and medium sized research projects, with a focus on trauma, information technology and patient (quality of) care. He is a keen martial artist, and has a surf when the waves are perfect.
