The Schools of Medicine and Psychology medical workforce research group seeks expressions of interest from Honours graduates for a 3 year full time PhD candidature. The group is currently undertaking a national longitudinal study examining determinants of medical career choice called CHOICES. This is funded by an ARC Discovery Grant. The CIs are Professor Judy Searle, Professor Peter Creed and Dr Mary Rogers. Opportunities arise for a PhD student to perform a qualitative or quantitative sub study or linked research to this project. Preference will be given to research linked to the qualitative component of the project
Criteria include Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian residency, completion of a Bachelor Degree with First Class honours or equivalent, undergraduate degree in the health sciences, psychology, medicine or public health and ability to study full time.
